This Friday is the World Thrombosis Awareness Day. Dr Nicolas Falvo, head of the vascular exploration and interventional phlebology department at CHU of Dijon , helps us to better understand this pathology. Internally, the hospital will devote a day to training and informing nearly 300 paramedical staff.

” A deep vein thrombosis or phlebitis , it is a clot that forms in a vein. It can then travel to the lungs and cause a pulmonary embolism, which can be fatal.
