The World Youth Forum organized an integration camp under the slogan “Together for Mental Health Care”, over a period of three days. Accepting the differences of others, ways to provide psychological support to those around them, breaking the stigma, and asking for help.
The camp witnessed a diversity in the backgrounds of the participants, as a number of Egyptian university youth, school students, people of determination, and a number of volunteers from the Decent Life Foundation participated.
A number of immigrants to Egypt, coming from Sudan recently because of the conflict, also participated in the camp. This participation came in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration in Egypt within the framework of the response program for Sudan.
The camp was launched as one of the outputs of the mental health and refugee and immigrant support initiatives, in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration in Egypt, the Well Spring Foundation for Social Development, the Fahim Foundation for Psychological Support, the World Health Organization, and the Decent Life Foundation.
This comes in implementation of the initiatives launched by the platform of the World Youth Forum and the Youth of the Presidential Program, instead of organizing the forum in its usual form, so that the proceeds of the sponsorship rights directed to the forum are directed in favor of initiatives that have a direct impact in supporting youth.
It is noteworthy that since the launch of the forum in its first edition in 2017, and throughout the previous four editions, the forum aims to send a message of peace and prosperity from Egypt to the world, by discussing world issues, proposing recommendations and implementing many initiatives and projects on the ground.
