WrestleMania 40 Main Event: Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes - Chaos and Surprises Take Center Stage

Place in the Main Event, the highlight of the show of this WrestleMania 40. The undisputed WWE champion Roman Reigns against Cody Rhodes to close this night 2. During night 1, Rhodes lost a tag team match with Seth Rollins against Reigns and Rock. His defeat transformed the clash of night 2 into Bloodline Rules match. A stipulation with unclear rules but from which we can certainly expect a shower of interventions from the Reigns clan.

The two men engaged in periods of shared domination for around twenty minutes of the match before Rhodes took a real, potentially decisive advantage. This is the moment Jimmy Uso chooses to intervene!

He distributes a superkick surgical procedure on Rhodes. A short-lived numerical advantage Jey Uso’s theme song is suddenly heard! The winner of night 1 exchanges blows with his brother and ends up getting rid of him with a spear throwing both men down the ramp.

The action has resumed in the ring and Rhodes is preparing for a third Cross Rhodes on Reigns but it’s Solo Sikoa’s turn to intervene in the match with a brutal Samoan Spike on the challenger. Reigns tries another pinfall after a spear/samoan spike combo… but it still doesn’t work… And John Cena’s music hits!

Cena rushes into the ring and delivers an Attitude Adjustment to Sikoa, then to Reigns. He clears Sikoa from the ring and throws a second AA through the commentators’ table… And The Rock’s music sounds!

The Rock gets in the ring and goes face-to-face with Cena. Cena tries to throw a right hook at the Rock but he is met by a Rock Bottom ! The Rock has no time to breathe, the music of Shield to be heard ! Seth Rollins enters the ring but is greeted by a chair shot from Reigns. The Rhodes team seems in bad shape…. And The Undertaker’s music sounds!

The light goes out then comes back on, the Undertaker is in the ring! He places a chokeslam on the Rock! The light goes out again then comes back on, the Undertaker has disappeared!

Chaos reigns in the ring. Reigns prepares for a spear but is caught by a kick from Rhodes in the face! Rhodes connects 3 Cross Rhodes on the champion and attempts a pinfall … 1 … 2 … 3 … Cody has finished his story!
