The new novel by the Ukrainian writer has just been published. radio night is the name of the book that spins a wildly fantastic story about the “barricade pianist” Josip Rotsky, which deals with revolutions, sex and dictatorships, with isolation, betrayal and independence. It is an intoxicating, carnivalesque and epic world theater brimming with ideas that Andrukhowytsch kindles there, in which, above all, the music and art are in the foreground – and what they are able to move.
