It’s the big day for all those who want to know the future of Apple! WWDC 2023 will take place today, and during the Keynote, we should be entitled to the announcement of all the brand’s new software and hardware for the rest of the year such as iOS 17, a 15-inch MacBook Air or even a virtual reality headset.
Apple Keynote: WWDC 2023 schedule, date and time
This June 5 is the return of the Worldwide Developer Conference, or WWDC! Like every year, it is in this conference that Apple allows us to discover live all the brand’s new products, both in terms of software and hardware.
To start WWDC 2023, the Keynote will take place where all the releases will be presented on stage in California, but also and above all live on Youtube and on the official Apple website! It will start at 7 p.m. (French time). Then will come the Platforms State of the Union at 10:30 p.m. which will present in depth the new Apple developer tools and finally the‘Apple Design Awards will take place at 3:30 a.m. and celebrate the creativity and craftsmanship of the Apple developer community.
This year’s Keynote promises to be particularly important and interesting. Our colleague Mark Gurman who is a correspondent at Bloomberg even seems to predict that it will easily exceed 2 hours with all the innovations that will be revealed there both on operating systems and on high-tech devices.
I’m expecting three major focus areas next week: 1) several new Macs, 2) the mixed-reality headset, 3) the new OSs. With all of the new hardware and software, I expect the keynote to be one of Apple’s longest ever and easily exceed two hours.

It is important to note that not everything will be available immediately. Some of them will be on pre-order and others may only be previewed before being released later in the year.
What to expect from Apple’s Keynote 2023?
This conference promises to be busy, but few things have leaked for the moment, and that’s good! Operating systems: Big changes to expect?
This is one of the main parts of what should be announced for this WWDC 2023. The most anticipated is iOS 17, but it is not impossible to have many changes on the other operating systems of the firm at the apple.
It is quite possible that some of these new features will be available directly in beta after the conference! We will have to wait a little longer to find out.
iOS 17: What will be new in the OS of the future iPhone 15?
If you’re looking to surprise your friends by planning conference content in advance, iOS 17 is the safest bet. Apple announces a new OS every year at WWDC, as with iOS 15 in 2021 and iOS 16 in 2022. Even if it is not totally impossible, it seems very unlikely that Apple will give information on the next iPhone 15 which should rather be presented next September.
iPad OS 17: What changes for the OS of your tablet?
Another logical novelty is the release of an update to the iPad OS with iPad OS 17. If the differences compared to iOS 17 are not legion, we can still expect improvements in multi-tasking . And as for iOS 17, an opening to alternative stores is to be considered.
WatchOS 10: New for your connected watches?
Same thing for WatchOS which should see its version 10 announced during the Keynote. It should also be this version that will equip the future Apple Watch Series 9. However, even if it is not impossible, there is little chance that the watches will be unveiled, Apple should only focus here on the software aspect.
Rumors envisage a renewal of the interface design and a possible arrival of folders and widgets on the home screen. MacOS 14: Who will succeed MacOS Ventura?
After MacOS Ventura, a new OS should logically appear for the firm’s computers. Little information has leaked on this version and even its name remains a mystery. So there is a good chance that this update will not be very ambitious, but rather improves what was instituted in MacOS 13.

MacBook Air 15: Bigger size for Apple’s lightest computer
A 15-inch MacBook Air! This is one of the most anticipated revelations of this conference, but also one of the most probable. The lightest computer from Apple would end up with an even larger diagonal to meet even more the needs of its users. It could be equipped with an M2 Pro chip, which would already be excellent!

The Mac Pro finally switching to an Apple M2 chip?
New features are also to be expected on the Mac Pro side and they could even be major! Finally, we are going to talk about one of the most coherent novelties and which is most likely to materialize during this WWDC 2023! This is Apple’s Reality Pro mixed reality headset which should be compatible with a large number of applications signed by the Cupertino company such as FaceTime or Safari. Controllable both with the eyes and with gestures, it should have its dedicated operating system named xrOS.
For the price, it should really sting and could easily reach 3000 €. If the announcement seems almost assured, the availability is not at all and it may be necessary to wait until next year to have it in your hands.
