– Tonight is WWE NXT night 1 of Halloween Havoc. The special Halloween show starts with a musical performance of ”New Years Day” with the song ”Vampyre”.
– The commentators welcome us and we find our Hosts for the evening with Shotzi and Scarlett to present the show. They don’t want to keep us waiting any longer, we start with the Devil’s Playground.
Devil’s Playground Match
Roxanne Prez vs Kiana James
At the end of the fight, the two wrestlers exchange blows while standing on the barricade. Perez goes for a leg sweep, but James pushes her to the ground. James goes for a moonsault, but Perez avoids it and hits her with her purse. Perez continues with his Code Red on the handbag which contained bricks for the count of three.
Winner: Roxanne Perez
– Backstage, we find Vic Joseph with Carmelo Hayes for an interview. Joseph asks if he was involved in the attack on Trick Williams last week. Hayes says it’s crazy to think he would have taken his best friend out of the match. Joseph asks what will be different for this rematch against Ilja Dragunov. Hayes says he has to wonder what it takes to beat Dragunov. The question is why, what is his motivation to be champion? How he can walk around here saying he’s the only one but he’s not champion. His motivation is greater than ever, there is no doubt. Joseph asks what it would have been like if Williams would have been in the contender’s match. Hayes says it wouldn’t have changed anything, he has to do what it takes to be on top. Hayes says the interview is over, he leaves.
– Behind the scenes, Scarlett and Shotzi are having a tarot card session with Noam Dar’s clan. Scarlett tells him that a bright future with a prize awaits him. She turns the last card saying to follow her intuitions because everything risks going up in flames. His group is afraid, Dar wants to bring calm to his members. Akira Tozawa takes the opportunity to steal the Heritage Cup from Dar and leave!
– Lexis King enters the ring for her first entrance and announces that Brian Pillman Jr is dead.
Singles Match
Lexis King vs Dante Chen
At the end of the fight, King superkicked Chen and followed up with a Neck Breaker from the second rope for the three count.
Gagnant : Lexis King
– Behind the scenes, we find Andre Chase with his clan. Andre Chase says Chase U brings home the gold tonight. Thea Hail says she’s going to avoid bringing a towel. Tony D’Angelo and Channing Lorenzo walk by to wish them good luck and point out that they are happy to see Chase in better condition.
Women’s Breakout Tournament – Semi-Finals
Kelani Jordan vs. Arianna Grace
At the end of the fight, the two wrestlers face off in the corner. Jordan manages to push Grace back into the corner and gives her a Split Legged Moonsault for the three count.
Winner : Kelani Jordan
– We’re showing a video from earlier today of Von Wagner in therapy. Wagner asks Robert Stone if he wants to die fighting Bron Breakker. Stone says he knows he’s going to get his ass kicked, but it’ll be worth it if he can deliver just one blow to Breakker in his friend’s name. Wagner says he’d love to go with Stone next week, but he’s nowhere near ready. Stone says he’ll take care of it, next week is for Wagner!
– Shotzi and Scarlett are on stage to promote their YouTube series. The Creed Brothers arrive. Julius Creed congratulates the two on their costumes. Last week Carrillo and Garza cost them their match for the tag team titles. They want to crush them next week. Shotzi says she saw the events, she doesn’t think we should have a normal match. Scarlett says the wheel must decide. Ivy Nile spins the wheel and the match will be a Tables, Ladders and Scares (TLC Match in Halloween mode).
NXT Tag Team Championship – Tag Team Match
Tony D’Angelo et Channing Lorenzo (c) vs Andre Chase et Duke Hudson accompanied by Thea Hail and Jacy Jayne
At the end of the fight, Chase hits a Neck Breaker on D’Angelo. Jayne throws the crowbar in the ring for Chase, Chase refuses to use it. D’Angelo goes for the cables to avoid a blow from Chase, but he collides with Jayne by mistake who was still on the apron. Chase takes the opportunity to Roll Up D’Angelo for the count of three.
Winners: Andre Chase and Duke Hudson – New Champions
– We find Nathan Frazer for his latest news bulletin. Frazer says don’t slow down, night 1 of Halloween Havoc is crazy. Frazer says that obviously Dominik Mysterio doesn’t like him. The truth is that Dominik is still the champion because of Mommy’s help. Last year he was injured during Halloween Havoc, but came back stronger. So now is the time to assert yourself. For Night 2 of Halloween Havoc, him against Dominik Mysterio for the North American title!
– Backstage, McKenzie asks Baron Corbin for his reaction to his defeat last week. Corbin says he doesn’t like Triple Threat because anything can happen. He did everything in the match and Hayes took advantage. He did everything in his power to win the match, it should be him against Dragunov. McKenzie asks if that means attacking Trick Williams. Corbin says he wouldn’t have done it behind his back even though he doesn’t like Williams. It could be anyone, but he doesn’t care. The only thing that matters to him is Dragunov and the championship.
Lights Out Match
Gigi Dolin vs Blair Davenport
At the end of the fight, the two wrestlers face each other on the commentators’ table. Davenport manages to block Dolin and does a Falcon Arrow through a table that was right next to him. Davenport brings Dolin back into the ring and V-Triggers him for the three count.
Winner: Blair Davenport
– We find Vic Joseph in an interview with Ilja Dragunov to find out what it’s like to be champion for a month. Dragunov says it was destined to be champion. Since he was a child, life was difficult. His family left Russia for Germany and they had nothing. He worked hard to come here. His son got the chance to hold the championship for the first time and he watched it with pride. This is the biggest motivation to retain his title. Joseph asks his state of mind for his match next week. Dragunov says he just came out of the difficulty of capturing this title. He’s going to break Hayes like Hayes broke at No Mercy. Joseph asks how he will adapt. Dragunov says he doesn’t adapt to anyone, it’s the opponent who adapts to him. Hayes will be desperate to become champion and Halloween Havoc will be his downfall. The title represents 30 years of sacrifice.
– Backstage, Shotzi and Scarlett find Carmelo Hayes and say the cards point to Hayes as the one responsible for the attack on Trick Williams. Hayes says don’t believe that.
– Backstage, McKenzie asks Tiffany Stratton for her comments on the Breakout tournament. Tiffany Stratton says it doesn’t matter because the title will go to her. Fallon Henley shows up dressed as Stratton to make fun of her. The confrontation breaks out between the two wrestlers, but they are separated.
Women’s Breakout Tournament – Semi-Finals
Karmen Petrovic vs Lola Vice accompanied by Elektra Lopez
At the end of the fight, Petrovic launches a suicide jump on Vice at the bottom of the ring. Petrovic brings her back into the ring, but Vice surprises Petrovic with a Round Kick for the three count.
Winner: Lola Vice
– After the fight, Vice and Jordan face off because they will face each other in the final next week.
– Behind the scenes, Chase U celebrates the victory. Duke Hudson says they are leaders now with his titles. The locker room will expect a lot from them. Thea Hail says she is so proud to see Hudson from MVP to champion. They are winners! Chelsea Green and Piper Niven arrive. Jayne says the two shouldn’t even be here. Green says no one has the right to talk to them like that. She’s going to go to Shawn Michaels’ office. Jayne says they will go with them and request a match for the tag team titles at the same time.
– Behind the scenes, Noam Dar’s clan discovers in pictures that it was Akira Tozawa who stole his Heritage Cup. The message accompanying the photo invites the clan to come find him (in a haunted house).
– Behind the scenes, Bron Breakker finds Carmelo Hayes. Hayes says everyone should be talking about him getting his title back. Breakker says the two know they’ll be fighting for the spot at the top for decades. He’s already proven that he deserves his spot and Hayes proved it by attacking his best friend. Hayes says Breakker knows he didn’t do anything. Breakker says he did the right thing. Next week Hayes will regain his title, he will send Stone to the hospital and then we return to Breakker against Hayes.
– Jade Cargill arrives on the podium to monitor the next match.
NXT Women’s Championship – Singles Match
Lyra Valkyria vs Becky Lynch (c)
At the end of the fight, Valyria gets on the corner and launches a Splash, but Lynch avoids it and applies a Dis Arm Her. Valyria manages to set foot on a cable. Lynch charges her against the corner, but Valyria blocks her with a Sit Out Powerbomb and Lynch resists for two. Valyria goes up to the corner, but Lynch gets back up and punches her. Lynch superplexes her and follows up with a DDT to cover her, but Valyria resists two. Lynch goes up to the corner, but Valyria gets back up and hits her. Valyria does a Round Kick and covers her, but she still resists. Lynch blocks a blow and does a Man Handle Slam on Valyria to cover her, but she still resists. Lynch wants to pick her up, but Valyria blocks her and gives her a quick count for the three count!
Winner: Lyra Valkyria – New Champion
– After the fight, Valkyria celebrates her victory and Becky Lynch gives her the title. The show ends with a celebration of the new NXT Champion.
