– WWE Friday Night SmackDown kicks off with Roman Reigns entering the ring with Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman. Reigns asks Washington DC to recognize him… then the music of Cody Rhodes sounds! The winner of the Royal Rumble 2023 makes his entrance then faces the Bloodline, it is his first appearance on SmackDown for 7 years, notes Michael Cole.
Cody Rhodes says he’s there to talk man-to-man with his WrestleMania opponent, the rest of the Bloodline doesn’t need to be in the ring. Roman Reigns asks the Bloodline to leave the ring and then asks Cody Rhodes what he wants to talk regarding, following dropping both of his belts. Cody Rhodes claims Roman Reigns is an impossible mountain to climb, but people have told him he’ll either remain Randy Orton’s understudy, he’ll always remain Stardust, or he and his friends can’t accommodate 10,000 fans for a small independent show. Roman Reigns seems impossible… but not for him!
Roman Reigns asks him if he has ever wrestled for one of these titles? He has already wrestled in the Main Event of a WrestleMania? He has already done all that. The champion then talks regarding Cody Rhodes’ father and says he has nothing bad to say regarding Dusty who gave him a lot of advice. Cody wants to know what his father said regarding him? He said nothing regarding himself! And if there’s something his dad didn’t teach him, Reigns will. Roman Reigns extends his hand but Cody Rhodes prefers to answer: Roman Reigns may be the son Dusty has always wanted, so Cody must beat him in the Main Event of WrestleMania… may the best man win.
The two wrestlers shake hands then Roman Reigns leaves the ring with his two belts.
Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley (accompanied by Dominik Mysterio)
At the end of the match, Rhea Ripley does her RipTide on Liv Morgan followed by her Inverted Cloverleaf submission to knock out her opponent.

– In the Bloodline locker room, Roman Reigns asks Jimmy Uso if he has spoken with his brother. Jimmy says yes, but Jey needs some time. Roman Reigns tells him that he is not patient. Jimmy replies that he will tell Jey.
– We review what happened last week with Rey Mysterio and Karrion Kross.
– Backstage, Santos Escobar crosses paths with Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley. He tells them that Rey Mysterio should have hit him last week! He can do it, so Dominik can go in the ring with him right away.
Santos Escobar vs Dominik Mysterio
At the end of the match, Rhea Ripley does her RipTide on Santos Escobar outside the ring, behind the back of the referee, then Dominik Mysterio climbs on the third rope and makes a Frog Splash on Santos Escobar for the pinfall victory .
Winner: Dominik Mysterio
– After the match, Dominik rips off the Rey Mysterio mask that Santos Escobar had brought with him. Rey Mysterio’s music hits and he comes to retrieve his mask. Dominik drops the mask then punches his father!
