WWE presented its PLE show ”WrestleMania Backlash” 2022 on May 8 live from the Dunkin Center in Providence, Rhode Island.
– Tonight is WWE WrestleMania Backlashthe pre-show opens with the panel discussing the map.
– A video on the match between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins is played. The panel discusses Cody Rhodes and all the potential he represents.
– The promo videos follow: first on Charlotte against Ronda Rousey then on Omos vs Lashley. MVP is with the panel to send some cleats to Lashley.
– New promo video on AJ Styles vs Edge as part of a kickoff of rare intensity.
– A promo video on Madcap Moss vs Corbin is played. Moss is with the panel. He harangues the crowd and gets a more than decent reaction, the public is waking up!
– We find Paul Heyman and the Usos in backstage. Heyman wishes everyone a Happy Mother’s Day. It highlights the good work that some mothers do, unlike others: those of the RK-bros and McIntyre. They are failures and the Bloodline will prove it.
– End of the pre-showmake way for the main course!

– The main show opens with Cody Rhodes vs Seth Rollins! It is Rollins who enters the arena first.

Cody Rhodes vs Seth Rollins
Very big match of the two men. Rhodes goes for a vertibreaker but Rollins counters and tries a roll-up on Rhodes. Rhodes counters him and also continues on a roll-up. 1, 2, 3! Cody celebrates on the stage under the eyes of a Rollins already ready to put the cover back. 20 minutes of high level.

– We continue with Omos accompanied by MVP against Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley vs Omos
At the end of the Omos match against a Lashley spear with a knee strike. He places Lashley in a corner. MVP intervenes and generously continues the blows on his former protege. Omos concludes with a two handed chokeslam.

– A promo video for Hell in a Cell is released. This is the next PPV offered by WWE and it will take place on June 5 in the greater Chicago suburb of Rosemont.

Styles manages to place his Styles Clash on Edge and tries the pinfall. Edge manages to get rid of it at the last moment! Styles prepares to follow up with his Phenomenal Forearm, but Damian Priest tumbles! He approaches the ring. Finn Balor arrives at top speed and tackles Priest directly. The action continues in the ring. A woman in a black hoodie steps in and knocks Styles off the top rope! Edge continues directly with a crossface. Styles loses consciousness. Edge won! The woman in black approaches Edge, removes her hood… c’est Rhea Ripley !

– Make way for the women’s division, followed by the I Quit Match between Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair.
SmackDown Women’s Championship – I Quit Match
Charlotte Flair (c) vs Ronda Rousey
Authors of a big match, the two women quickly moved in the middle of the public. They end up returning to the ring under chants “We want tables” supported. A wish not granted since it is finally via a chair that the match is resolved. Charlotte has the upper hand and positions a chair in the center of the ring. She wishes Ronda a Happy Mother’s Day and prepares to attempt a submission… But Ronda grabs Charlotte’s arm, puts it through the chair and manages to place her armbar. Charlotte gives up!
Winner: Ronda Rousey – New Champion
– A promo video for Money in the Bank is broadcast. The PLE will take place on July 2 in Las Vegas.
– Make way for Happy Corbin against Madcap Moss

Happy Corbin vs Madcap Moss
Corbin manages to place his Deep Six on Moss, but Moss manages to get clear at the last moment. Moss regains the upper hand and does his sunset flip on the lucky Corbin. 1, 2, 3, Moss won!

– It is announced that Charlotte Flair has a wrist injury following his match against Ronda Rousey.
– Since there is no good company that does not leave each other, place for the last chapter of the night: the Main Event.
Six-Man Tag Team Match
Drew McIntyre et RK-Bro (Randy Orton & Riddle) vs Roman Reigns et The Usos (Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso)
As the match ended, McIntyre prepared to powerbomb Reigns through the commentary tables. Jimmy Uso comes to the aid of the chief of the tribe. Reigns takes over and it is finally him who passes McIntyre through the table! The action and unbridled. In the ring Riddle dominates his world but Reigns joins him, gives him a spear and continues with a fall. Bloodline Victory!
Winners: Roman Reigns et The Usos
– Reigns, the USOS and Heyman pose on stage with their belts. The show ends like this.
