After making them available a few months ago only to Premium subscribers, the X (former Twitter) is finally releasing the possibility of starting audio and video calls for all users.

As noted by 9to5Macthe news was shared by a social network employeeEnrique Barragan, and republished by the company’s CEO, Linda Yaccarino. According to him, the platform is slowly rolling out the feature to non-subscribers, which means that it will not reach all users at once.

In the publication, the engineer published a screenshot with some of the resource’s privacy settings. Among them, it is worth remembering, is the possibility of choosing whether you want to receive calls from people in your contact list, those you follow, verified users or everyone.

Although they can be completely deactivated, calls from X are available in the area designated for direct messages (DMs). They should work both in mobile applications and on Macs and PCs.

Has anyone out there tried the new thing?
