X (Twitter) has given users great permission

Posting of all types of content on X (Twitter) is officially permitted. X, the social media platform owned by Elon Musk, has changed its policies to allow inappropriate and violent posts.

But such content will be blocked from reaching persons under the age of 18 or those who refuse to see it.

The announcement by the company comes at a time when regulatory bodies around the world have urged X to prevent access to inappropriate content by children.

X still doesn’t prevent users from posting inappropriate or mature content on the social media platform, but now the company has formally approved it with a few conditions.

Now users who post inappropriate or violent content will be asked by the company to change their media settings to include images and videos in content that is warned before being viewed.

Persons under the age of 18 or users who do not have a date of birth registered on their profile will not be able to view such content.

If users do not change the media settings regarding inappropriate content, then the company will do so.

The new policies will also apply to videos and images generated with artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

“We believe that users have the freedom to create, post and view all content as long as it is produced and posted legally,” the company said.
