A Spanish press report stated that Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez “feels betrayed” within the Catalan club, following its defeat to Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final.
According to the Spanish program “El Chirenguito”, Xavi believes that the dressing room and the board of directors do not stand by his side and leave him alone without support.
He added: “Barcelona president Joan Laporta is the only person in the administration who supports and defends Xavi remaining at the helm of the project, while sporting director Deco wants the task to be assigned to Rafa Marquez, the current reserve team coach.
