Xavier Casas will cease to be the general secretary of the UGT in the Girona region this Thursday, January 27, after more than six years in office. The change will take place in the inter-district committee that will take place in the Josep Irla Auditorium, where the next head of the union will leave. Casas has been working for the UGT for more than 16 years, the last 12 with executive responsibilities. Casas explained that he planned to take over last year, but that the pandemic situation has delayed it until this year and that he will become a grassroots activist returning to his job.
