Even if E3 2022 will not take place this year, the next few months will once again be an opportunity for the video game industry to present many games. Judging by the image that accompanies the announcement of the conference, it is easy to imagine that a certain Starfield will be present at the event. The new game from Bethesda which takes place in space should thus be the star of the event.

With a timing of 90 minutes, Xbox will not have time to make a presentation of all its announced games and only those that will be released in the medium term will offer gameplay. As every year, the rumors will accelerate as we approach the date of the event, set for Sunday, June 12, 2022. Some will certainly be confirmed, but surprises are likely to be on the way year.
As usual, Microsoft may dedicate part of its conference to the announcement of new independent games, including some nuggets that are often quite visually attractive. Between the different “World Premieres”, Microsoft will also make sure to offer a varied catalog of games from third-party publishers to complete its offer. We think in particular of A Plague Tale : Requiem which has a partnership with Xbox since the game will be available as soon as it is released in 2022 in the Xbox Game Pass.
The star of the conference is sure to be Microsoft’s flagship service. With the reinforcement of PlayStation on the niche, the Xbox Game Pass will have to redouble its efforts to continue to convince more and more users. The takeover of studios, including those of Activision Blizzard, also aims to release more and more major games in the service.
It is also quite unlikely that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be present at the Xbox conference this year, or that a debauchery of Activision Blizzard games is planned. The takeover must still be validated by the authorities and Sony still has a partnership with Activision on the franchise. You will certainly have to turn to the PlayStation conference to follow the usual long gameplay sequence of the next Call of Duty. Either way, Microsoft already has enough big games to show off with its studios as well as Bethesda’s.
