A Xiaomi added new templates to your list of products with ended support. After inserting the Redmi Note 8, 8T and two more devices in March, it’s time for another four smartphones to have their software support finalized, including the Redmi Note 9Sone of the most praised and best-selling intermediaries of the company that, from now on, will no longer receive any kind of update.

besides the Redmi Note 9Sa Xiaomi also ended support for Mi 10 Lite 5G, Redmi Note 9 Pro e Redmi Note 9 Pro Maxall released in early 2020. Therefore, this “goodbye” does not come as a big surprise, after all, they have been on the market for three years.
Interestingly, nothing was said about the Redmi Note 9 or Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, made official during the same period. It is important to note that the models mentioned received the April 2023 security update, so they should be protected from intrusions and other issues for a while.
On its website, the Xiaomi mentions that “we no longer maintain any software or firmware updates (including security updates) for products included in the EOS (End of Support) product list, and we are also no longer able to respond to security vulnerability reports for them.”
