The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 was once again highlighted in the main channels of rumors and leaks after the official presentation of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. This Friday, Digital Chat Station revealed that the new foldable will be released in the second half of this year.
In addition, the smartphone will also have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with 12GB of RAM by default. However, the main novelty will be the presence of IP certification on the device.
The exact rating has not yet been revealed, as Xiaomi has been running internal tests to see if the foldable will be able to carry the much-acclaimed IP68 certification.
Another important novelty of this year’s foldable is the presence of a periscope camera at the rear, and we will have few changes when it comes to the design of the device.
Sources working at Xiaomi claim that the Chinese company is more concerned with presenting good specifications than modifying the look of the cell phone.
For the DCS, the only relevant change is in the fact that the foldable is thinner and lighter.
Finally, the Mix Fold 3 should be announced with support for fast wireless charging, something that also “opens the door” for reverse charging for wearables (watch and headphones).
