Xiaomi officially presented MIUI 14 for our market recently and while the first lucky ones begin to receive this new version of their system operational, the company continues to integrate improvements that will end up reaching our smartphones.
The last improvement developed focuses on the launcher of this customization layer that is MIUI. This new functionality integrates an improvement in navigation that will allow us to open applications more easily.
Just like it can currently be done on iOS, we can open a search window from the home screen of the desktop that will allow us to search for the application directly. A very useful shortcut if we have many apps installed on our phone and we usually have to waste a lot of time to find the app we want to open.
New option on home screenTo open this search engine we will only have to slide down from the home screen. With only write three letters and a filtered list will appear with the applications that contain that pattern in their name.
This improvement now finally reaches Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO smartphones that will begin to receive it in future updates released by the brand. It is not a great innovation, but it can improve the experience of many users and we can choose whether or not we want to enable it.
