Aderrahim El Hafidi, Director General of ONEE, received a delegation from the British Ministry of Energy Security and Net Zero on Thursday in Rabat.
This meeting is part of the examination of the Xlinks Project to supply the United Kingdom with electrical energy, from renewable sources, through an underwater HVDC link with a length of approximately 3,800 km.
On this occasion, Mr. El Hafidi reiterated the availability of ONEE teams to support the project for its development in the best conditions.
The British delegation thanked ONEE for the interest shown in this project, considered by the British Government as a strategic project within the framework of cooperation between the two Kingdoms.
Furthermore, the British delegation presented the progress of the development of the project since the submission of the file to the Moroccan authorities within the framework of Law 13-09.
