Yankees, Carlos Rodón face considerable “gap” in negotiations (report)

The Yankees’ initial offer to Carlos Rodón appears to have been less than exciting for the lefty, according to MLB Network’s Jon Heyman.

Rodón hasn’t changed his initial stance of asking for a contract of seven years or more worth $30 million per season. The two sides are expected to continue negotiating, with the Yankees reportedly “motivated to close the gap” between them.
