Los New York Yankees signed the former Los Angeles outfielder in late 2022 oakland athleticsBilly McKinney, who following a season to forget will start in the minor leagues for the Bronx Bombers.
McKinney is sure to be in Yankees spring training in 2023 following becoming a nomad in the MLB since his arrival. And it is that the outfielder has already worn the Yankees uniform in 2018, when he might barely consume four shifts in the Major Leagues and then move to the Toronto Blue Jays.
McKinney has also played for the Milwaukee Brewers, New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers, all being a reserve outfielder.

The native of Dallas, Texas, barely posted an offensive line of .096/.158/.173 with a double, a home run and four RBIs in 57 appearances with the A’s in the majors in 2022. However, in Triple A he exhibited averages of .295/.396/.530 with 13 doubles, 5 triples, 12 home runs, and 49 RBIs.
The Yankees will have an emergency outfielder in McKinney, letting him start the 2023 season at Triple-A and waiting for manager Aaron Boone’s call at any moment.
