Yankees sign right-hander Shelby Miller

The Yankees have awarded pitcher Shelby Miller a minor league contract. The deal includes an invitation to Spring Training with the big team.

Miller, 31, is 38-57 with a 4.19 ERA in 163 appearances (132 starts) in parts of nine major league seasons for the Cardinals (2012-14), Braves (2015 All-Star ), D-backs (2016-18), Rangers (2019), Cubs (2021) and Pirates (2021).

Last year, Miller went 0-1 with a 9.24 ERA in 13 games between Chicago and Pittsburgh.
