Yaya Bey releases the song “me and all my n****s”

Mr. Yaya share today “me and all my n****s”latest preview of his next album Ten Foldwhich will be released on May 10 through Big Dada. In Ten Fold, Yaya unfolds an in-depth account of her journey as a musician and her personal story in relation to the evolving landscape of the world around her. “me and all my n****s” is a song that embodies collective strength and resilience in the face of her often-far-from-glamorous career as a professional musician and the state of her community and the people who support her. The song is accompanied by a video directed by Chassidy David which Yaya choreographed, styled and conceived herself. Speaking about the conception of the video, she shares: “This video is an ode to my dad and the style of his first album”.

Yaya’s next album, Ten Foldhas been declared a must listen to Spring albums by NPR y Pitchfork and includes the singles “sir princess bad bitch”, “chasing the bus”, “crying through my teeth”which debuted in COLORSy “the evidence”. Ten Fold brims with the nuances of Yaya’s identity and interests, which she has poured into every aspect of this album’s release, serving as creative director, co-director and stylist in all areas of the project. As a second-generation artist, Yaya learned the lessons to feel purposeful in her relationship with music and to root her songwriting in a realistic portrait of what it means to be an artist. In Ten Foldshe brings her raw truth to the forefront, with the faith that music is her calling and that the world will receive her truth and she will reap the fruits of her and her family’s labor tenfold.

Yaya recently took the stage for several unofficial performances at SXSWcaptivating the public in The Politics House y Marshall Funhouse. Rolling Stone compared the performance of Yaya in The Politics House with iconic figures Nina Simone y Roberta Flackand highlighted Yaya’s ability to instantly connect with the crowd, transforming the venue into an “intimate daylight nightclub atmosphere.”

Born as Hadaiyah Bey, Yaya She began writing songs at age nine and burst onto the scene as a revitalizing voice in the new vanguard of R&B storytellers with her hit 2020 album, Madison Tapes. Its widely praised LP from 2022, Remember Your North Star won praise from media outlets such as Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, NPR, ESSENCE and more. Recently, she starred in an advertising campaign for the recent collaboration of Converse with the brand AwakeNY next to Immanuel Wilkins.
