[직썰 / 김현민 기자] Actor Yeom Dong-heon passed away at the age of 54 after fighting an illness.
On the 3rd, Yeom Dong-heon’s agency, Star Village Entertainment, announced, “Yeom Dong-heon passed away at around 11:50 pm on the 2nd while fighting an illness.”
The agency said, “We will remember the deceased who loved acting and was passionate.”
The deceased had recently suffered from cirrhosis of the liver and was reported to have died due to complications.
Born in 1968, Yeom Dong-heon graduated from the Department of Japanese Language and Literature at Dongguk University and began his acting career in 1994 on the theater stage.
Movies ‘The Blood and Blood Robbers’, ‘Special Edition’, ‘Asura’, ‘Family’, dramas ‘Doctor Champ’, ‘Light and Shadow’, ‘The King 2 Hearts’, ‘Goddess of Marriage’, ‘Your Neighbor’s Wife’, etc. The posthumous work is the movie ‘Spring in Seoul’ scheduled to be released in 2023.
The funeral of the deceased was strictly observed at noon on the 4th, and the burial place was prepared at Incheon Family Park in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon.
