Sharjah: YMCA, a global Christian youth organization. The closing ceremony of Sharjah’s 20th anniversary celebrations will be held on the 27th of this month. The program will be held at Sharjah Indian Association at 6:30 pm. YMCA National office-bearers, various religious, social and cultural workers, representatives of Indian Associations etc. will participate. Musical programs will be staged from 7.45 to 9.30.
President Kurian Thomas and Bijo Kalikal informed that a mega choir led by famous singers and a music sculpture combining Christian art forms will also be staged. This is the first branch of YMCA in Gulf Middle East.
Activities such as study assistance for 20 deserving children, medical assistance for 20 patients and house construction assistance are underway. A quiz competition will be held at the Sharjah Worship Center Hall on the 20th of this month with the participation of spiritual organizations and prayer groups of Christian churches in Sharjah.
