Bento Announces Changes in Startup Against Cameroon… Silence on how to use Lee Kang-in

Coach Paulo Bento announced a change to the best 11 in the evaluation match against Cameroon tomorrow (27th).

Against the question of whether or not Lee Kang-in, the ‘Golden Boy’, which is attracting attention, was hired, he did not immediately answer.

The national team unveiled their final training ahead of the evaluation match against Cameroon.

The Taegeuk warriors, including Captain Son Heung-min, warmed up with a bright expression and raised their condition.

Kim Min-jae of the defense and Lee Kang-in of the new engine of the midfield also showed light movements.

Unlike the players, coach Bento was a bit sensitive and drew attention.

He said he would experiment with other players in some positions such as defense, but he repeatedly emphasized that he was satisfied with the defense and indicated that he was not trying to change because of public opinion pointing out ‘defense anxiety’.

“I want to make it clear that there will be more than one change in the selection…and not because of individual performance.”

When asked whether or not young players such as Lee Kang-in were hired, he also showed a sign of discomfort.

“I think we will have to wait and see. It’s difficult to predict what will happen during the game…I think it’s important for young players to show their (talent) first at the club rather than at the national team…”

It is interpreted that he avoided immediate answers to criticism for not actively hiring Lee Kang-in, who is already recognized by his team, and expressed his thoughts around it.

Fans are increasingly interested in how Bento will show the results in the match against Cameroon, the last chance to check the overseas players.
