Astros Cuban hitter Yordan Álvarez has continued to progress from a right oblique strain that has sidelined him since June 8.
The outfielder was swinging off a tee and hitting soft shots as his team visited St. Louis this week.
Alvarez likely won’t join the Astros until following the All-Star break, considering the Las Tunas native will need a minor rehab assignment.
