Finally, and after much waiting, the developers of WhatsApp have decided to add the feature to use reactions as replies to messages.
There are several apps that have already implemented this system some time ago, such as Telegram, Facebook Messenger o Slack. As reported by WaBetaInfo, there will be 6 emojis that will allow you to react to messages.

The six emojis that can be used to react are Like, Love, Smiley, Surprised, Sad and Thank You.
As explained by WABetaInfo, although only certain beta testers can react to messages, all users can see reactions to messages.
