When the first signs of spring arrive, people diligently organize their homes and get rid of excess things. This spring, in order to give things a new chance, Omniva parcel machines have opened their doors, which can be used to send good things that have become superfluous to the Uuskaustuskeskus free of charge. The donation campaign lasts until April 26.

The reuse center encourages you to give the good things left over from spring packing to a new circle. “All the things you love at home deserve a chance to last. Thanks to Omniva, we can now offer people all over Estonia a convenient way to keep high-quality and important items in circulation,” commented Katriin Jüriska, CEO of the Reuse Center.

Katrin Isotamm, head of Omniva’s ESG and communication unit, noted that the circulation and recycling of goods supports both environmental protection and cost-effective management, and logistics and courier companies play an increasingly important role in this every year. According to Isotamme, this trend is clearly visible in e-commerce, because the share of returns in online stores is growing faster than that of purchases.

“In cooperation with the reuse center, Omniva opens its network of parcel machines to people who want to pass on their belongings and clothes to new users and thereby extend their life. Since our network of parcel machines is wide and available in almost every corner of Estonia, I hope that this campaign will encourage many people to use the parcel machine to send the clothes and other consumables they set aside during spring cleaning to the Recycling Center free of charge.”

In cooperation with Omniva, you can donate a variety of clean and healthy things that can fit in the parcel machine to the Uuskuskustuskeskuse. The recycling center accepts good clothes, shoes, toys, toys and books of recent times, sports and hobby items, smaller household appliances, interior items, dishes and kitchen items, home textiles. “Dishes can also be sent through the parcel machine, but they must be packed securely beforehand, using both a strong cardboard box and soft padding material, which would fix the shipment securely and the items would not be damaged during transport,” advised the head of Omniva ESG.

To donate things, they must be packed properly and securely for transport, and then register the donation on the website by entering your e-mail address. Then, a confirmation letter with a one-time code will be sent to the e-mail address previously entered in the e-mail, which can be used to send the package from the Omniva parcel machine.

All donations sent using Omniva first arrive at the sorting center of the Recycling Centre, where the condition of the items is checked. Neat things move on to Uuskaustuskuskuskus stores all over Estonia, as well as to the e-shop. The Uuskustuskeskus, in cooperation with partners, also supports those in need based on need, for example large families on a monthly basis, in addition to animal shelters, women’s support centers, refugees. The heart of the Uuskaustuskuskuskus, which will be 20 years old in April is using things, clothes, materials, skills and experiences in a new way, keeping them in circulation and thereby creating a new sustainable value for them.
