New blood donation campaign. After a “very complicated” year 2022, the French Blood Establishment found in 2023 “a correct situation” for its reserves, but hopes to renew its stocks in June before the summer. This campaign aims to fill the blood supply a little more for the summer period.
Last year, affected by the persistent health crisis, the agency had to make two “vital emergency calls”, in February and June, in the face of historically low levels of reserves. Donations of blood, but also of plasma and platelets, save lives and improve those of patients who need transfusions of blood products.
