The Indian squad for the limited overs series against the West Indies was announced by the selection committee yesterday. Rohit Sharma’s return to the squad was notable as he made the squad, including youngsters. It is also the first series played by Rohit since he was appointed ODI team captain. Kohli, meanwhile, has taken off his captain’s shirt in all three formats. While youngsters Gaekwad, Aavesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi have been named in the squad, Deepak Hooda has been named in the Indian squad for the first time.
Former India captain Irfan Pathan has lauded Deepak Hooda, pacer Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi for making their debut in the Indian team after a long wait.
