It’s a very interesting moment for Belgium right now! We were used to having only a few big Belgian studios (Larian, Fishing Cactus, etc.) but recently “2nd generation” studios, like us, Pajama Llama, Triangle Factory and others, began to scale up and hire staff.
Today we notice that there are more and more new small studios, which sometimes start with two or three employees and each grow at their own pace. It’s, I think, because there are more and more very good schools like the Haute Ecole Albert Jacquart or even DEA (Digital Arts & Entertainment) in Belgium, which brings a lot of good developers and artists back to the local market. .
So, yes, I think it’s a very interesting moment for video games in Belgium, even if everything is not perfect yet.
