A comedian with an impressive spontaneity, she entered the world of acting at the hands of Najib Al-Rihani for the first and last time, until she disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

Amina Ahmed Abdel-Aal Zohni was born in the Sharkia Governorate in 1860, when fate led her towards Bab Al-Shaariya in the Cairo Governorate, only to be surprised that she lived next to the house of “Naguib Al-Rihani,” the great Egyptian actor.
Amina Zhni took over the responsibility of raising her only daughter on her own, after her husband left life after a long struggle with cancer, which made Amina looking for work to provide a stable source of income to be able to take care of the little girl, until she worked as a vegetable seller, and despite her deteriorating economic condition, she refused any assistance provided Her neighbors or close to her.
Her only request from Al-Rihani was to take care of her granddaughter after she left in peace, as her daughter passed away and her young husband left and fled.
Because she refused any other assistance from him, Najib al-Rihani decided to offer her a helping hand, but in an indirect way.
Rihani was on the cusp of shooting his movie “Salamah fi Khair”, which prompted him to ask Amina Zulni to participate in the film in 1937 to play the role of his mother-in-law, until Amina quickly agreed without hesitation, and actually started filming her scenes in Salameh fi Khair.
It is noteworthy that the film was directed by Niazi Mustafa, and the script and dialogue by the writer Badi’ Khairy and Naguib Al-Rihani, and the film was considered one of the most important and beautiful classic works in the Egyptian cinema.
“Umm Souta” was the name of Amina Zulni in the movie Salama Fi Khair, who was known for her wit and extreme spontaneity, and she achieved great success in her first and last role, until the Egyptian cinema lost her forever.
The disappearance of Amina my mind:
After completing the shooting of the movie, Najib Al-Rihani gave her a wage of 50 pounds, which is a very valuable amount at the time, as it was considered the wages of the second actor in the movie, but Amina got the same for her tragic life.
That night was the end of Amina Zahni’s life and her newly started artistic career, to happen the unexpected, and the mystery of her disappearance remains a source of confusion and shock for Al-Rihani until he discovered the secret behind the mysterious story.
After receiving the film’s fee, she left for her home, but Najeeb Al-Rihani was surprised the next day, that she had not reached the house since the previous night, so Al-Rihani and the police began searching for her, but to no avail. She had completely disappeared without a trace guiding us to the perpetrator.
27 years after that incident and one day, a taxi driver was arrested for the murder of one of his friends, and after the death sentence was issued against him, the accused admitted that one night he was driving an old woman from downtown.
To watch her count a large sum of money, he decides to change his course and enter the desert, to tell her that there is a malfunction in the car.
Until he hit the victim on the head and she fell to the ground, so he in turn takes the money and runs away, to return the next morning to see her, but he was surprised that the wolves ate her, and left torn clothes behind after the heinous incident.
Najeeb Al-Rihani declared his conversion to Islam after that terrible incident, and carried out Amina my advice, as he raised her granddaughter and took care of her, until she studied medicine and left for Germany to get married and settled on her land.
