Young people: what are you waiting for to react?

Our country is going through a difficult time and it is not even possible to explain it well, which is why great anxiety is occurring among citizens.

Let’s first try to answer this question: Why does a president elected in democracy with a majority, not extraordinary, but enough to have no doubts, want to muddy himself before his electorate, before the country and before history by calling an “assembly?” constituent” that is neither constitutional nor legal?

Because it is ruled out that the constituent assembly that Petro referred to in Puerto Rellena, Cali, before an audience that did not even fully understand what it was about, is the National Constituent Assembly provided for in our political Constitution, article 374 et seq.

Because to reach this figure it is clear that time is required that Petro no longer has. He is close to completing two years of his mandate and has completed 40.5% of his mandate. According to conservative calculations, the same amount would be required for the complex process.

Nor would the president have the required majorities, neither in Congress nor much less in terms of the electoral registry.

What an idiotic ruler, he gains power in a democracy and then proposes a change through a forcible constituent assembly.

That is why it is clear that he is referring to another type of constituent assembly. It is the same one that he has been invoking, without calling it by his name, in many of his speeches throughout the time that he has been president.

We talk about these calls for chaos because we cannot otherwise designate “rivers of people”, “men, women and children” who should, according to Petro, take to the streets and fill the squares. And he never clarified for what purpose this would be done.

It could be to “support” his crazy reforms, as in the case of health reforms, which distress us so much and on which he insists so much.

At a time like this, difficult and sad, marked by a very bad government whose consequences we all already suffer, it is imperative that our young people, especially those who voted for Petro, become aware of the situation.

Emigrating is not so easy to put into practice. So, will we allow our country to be destroyed by an extremist, a true wolf in sheep’s clothing who is just beginning to show his claws?

The challenge to which the youth is called is now, now, then it will be too late and they will have lost the opportunity to live in democracy. They say that no one experiences things in other people’s heads, but the Venezuelan reality is so close that it touches us as our own.

The young Venezuelans who voted for Chávez have been experiencing the destruction of their country for 25 years, subjected to a regime that has kept them under structural violence, which, according to researcher Gloria Perdomo, refers to those “conditions that are imposed, depriving to people of their human rights guarantees, such as the right to life, to an adequate standard of living, to health and to immediate protection in case of damage and harm”, a situation that arises from an erratic economic, social, political and institutional, like the one that Colombia is also currently experiencing, then it is time to wake up and not allow their freedom, dreams and homeland to be “robbed”.

According to several authors, those who have warned Colombians, the decline of Venezuela and the rights of Venezuelans had its roots in the constituent assembly called by Chávez, it is up to the youth not to fall into the same mistake and to all the people to save Colombia of tyranny.

It’s time to react. One of the scenarios that Petro has mentioned for his assemblies is that of the public university. Obviously, the proposal wants nothing more than to destabilize.

Are universities, public and private, prepared to face this?

Those who thoughtlessly voted for Petro despite all the alarm signals, Venezuela, the Sao Paulo Forum and the Puebla Group, the threats of the then candidate formulated in his various campaigns against all sectors of the country, the hatred and rage that with too often they distilled their words and their crazy proposals, they have a debt to this country.

They wanted a change that the sinister candidate offered but they never knew or were interested in knowing what it was about.

The greatest strength of countries is education. Those that have a constantly growing GDP achieve it thanks to the preparation of their population.

There is among us a segment of lazy and attentive young people, who believe that they have all the rights and no obligations. They constitute a delay factor. But to change such a harmful way of thinking, a better education is required.

The government made a tremendous mistake with its initiative to pay for not killing.

On the other hand, the current living conditions of Cuba and Venezuela should not be those of our population. Think about it, young people, react and do not believe in cheap populism.

Reject the call for a constituent whose sole support is the ELN. These subversives spoke like this on the 22nd of this month: “National Constituent Assembly we understand it as an effort aimed at democratization and construction of a good life for all.”
God save us!
