Young person shot dead in Guinea: justice demands the names of the police officers on the ground

In Guinea, justice opened an investigation to find the assassin of the young person shot dead Wednesday in Conakry on the sidelines of a demonstration between security forces and demonstrators against the rise in the price of fuel. A funeral march scheduled for Monday by the FNDC – National Front for the Defense of the Constitution – has been postponed. More explanations with our correspondent in Conakry Malick Diakite.

The attack by armed men on Sunday on a Catholic church during mass left at least 21 dead and around 40 injured, including children, in southwestern Nigeria, causing fear in the most populous country from Africa.

Six opposition leaders in Chad, prosecuted in particular for “disturbing public order” after a demonstration peppered with incidents on May 14 against France, were found guilty during an expeditious trial boycotted by lawyers for the defense and sentenced on Monday to a suspended sentence of one year, a sentence lower than the requisitions.

In Senegal, the rejection of the list of incumbents of the opposition coalition Yewwi Askan Wi is causing trouble less than two months before the legislative elections. The Constitutional Council also invalidated the list of substitutes for the presidential majority Benno Bokk Yakar. This Monday we give the floor to El Malick Ndiaye, national secretary of communication of PASTEF, the party of the opponent Ousmane Sonko.
