This year, the ASKÖ federal organization once again honored sports clubs and trainers for their great commitment to the youth sector.

Vienna (OTS) “Sporting success is one of the many cornerstones of outstanding youth work in sports clubs, which not only the club but also every association can be proud of,” said ASKÖ President Abg.z.NR (ret.) Hermann Krist.

Eligible to participate in the ASKÖ Youth Promotion Award were ASKÖ clubs whose young athletes or teams between the ages of 14 and 21 achieved success at national or international level between January 2022 and May 2023. Of the 60 projects submitted, the three best from each of the nine federal states received special funding.

ASKÖ trainers who were successful nationally or internationally with their protégés in the period from June 2021 to May 2023 were also honored. From 34 submissions, 6 were selected and received special ASKÖ funding.

The winners were announced at the Haus des Sports in Vienna by Secretary General Michael Maurer, Vice President Mag. Dr. Thomas Zacharias and youth speaker Mag. Andrea Gruber, MSc awarded.

The ASKÖ warmly congratulates all winners and wishes them continued success!
