The Youth Pass is in the form of a digital debit card

Beneficiaries can make use of the aid they will receive to make purchases or receive services from businesses active in the fields of tourism (e.g. in tourist accommodation), culture (e.g. to attend theater performances or concerts, for the purchase of books, etc.) and transportation (taxi, buses, trains, ferry – plane tickets or for the rental of cars or pleasure boats, etc.)

The lucky beneficiaries for 150 euros

Beneficiaries of the Youth Pass are tax residents of Greece, who have reached the age of 18 or 19 within the year preceding the application and submit an application on the platform. There are no property or income criteria for granting the aid.

Who can apply?

Application to the platform can be done this year by young people who turned either 18 or 19 between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2023.

The application is submitted once and is not resubmitted after the beneficiary turns 19.

The beneficiary’s entry to the special application takes place after authentication of the beneficiary using the taxisnet codes.

After entering the application, the beneficiary enters in the fields displayed in the system the contact details, and in particular the e-mail address and the mobile phone number, of the credit institution he chooses for the issuance of the digital debit card and requests the issuance of the digital debit card and the credit of the relevant amount.

CAUTION: After confirming the contact details, in order to submit the application definitively, it is necessary to press the “Submit” button at the bottom of the application page.

Youth Pass and through KEP

The process of issuing the digital debit card can also be carried out through the KEP, by a certified employee, following a relevant request of the natural person – beneficiary, as well as through an authorized representative, based on the Code of Administrative Procedure.

The KEP employee enters the special application after being authenticated using the “Public Administration Codes” of the G.G.P.S.P.S.D. of the Ministry of Digital Governance, according to the decision of the Minister of State under data 29810 EX 2020 (B’ 4798). The employee then enters in the fields displayed in the system:

The Tax Registration Number (A.F.M.) of the natural person, the contact details of the natural person, and in particular the e-mail address and mobile phone number and the credit institution that the natural person chooses, and applies on his behalf natural person the issuance of the digital debit card and the crediting of the relevant amount.

Procedure credit

After submitting the application, the credit institution or financial organization informs the beneficiary about the first activation of the card and the crediting of the amount of money via text message (sms) or e-mail message (e-mail) with an embedded link to activate the card digital debit card.

It is noted that the digital debit card can be used both in physical stores with a device that supports contactless transaction technology (via the NFC protocol), and in e-shops to carry out electronic transactions.
