Youtube: A new broadcasting standard for better video quality

Great news has just fallen for content creators using OBS Studio software.

Its latest version 29.1, still in beta phase, now supports AV1 encoding when streaming to YouTube. It thus makes it possible to obtain a video quality superior to that of H.264 at similar bitrates, announce the developers of OBS Studio in a press release shared last week on their official Twitter page:

This update brings various bug fixes and also implements some new features mentioned in this release.

If you see a clear evolution in the rendering of videos from your favorite streamers over the next few weeks, it’s because OBS Studio has something to do with it.
