Yuki Tsunoda (Scuderia AlphaTauri) finished qualifying for the 2022 F1 Dutch Grand Prix in 9th place.
Yuki Tsunoda, who had fallen behind in practice, passed Q1 in 3rd place and marked the 10th fastest time in Q2 to advance to Q3 for the 4th time this season. Unfortunately, in Q3, yellow flags prevented him from improving his time on the final lap, but he still managed to secure 9th place on the grid.
“I’m really satisfied with today’s qualifying performance,” commented Yuki Tsunoda.
“Honestly, it was a bit of a surprise to make it into Q3 given the pace we had in FP3, but we made some good changes to the car after practice and put it all together to get the maximum performance out of the car. I was able to pull it out.”
“It is very positive that the team’s hard work paid off this afternoon and that we made it through to Q3.
“We have to focus on the race now and we have a lot of strong data to look at, so we need to work hard tonight to be able to finish in the top ten tomorrow.”
