On September 4th (Sunday), the “2022 All Japan Fit Model Championships” sponsored by the Japan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (JBBF) was held at Honda no Mori Hall in Ishikawa. This competition is a new category that competed for elegant femininity, which started in earnest last year at JBBF, and features two types of costumes, one-piece swimsuits and long evening dresses. Judging will be conducted in three categories: 158 cm and under, 163 cm and over, and over 163 cm.
This year, a total of 58 people in three classes entered. Karen Michibata, a model and triathlete, also participated in the over 163cm class and passed the pick-up examination, but did not advance to the final, which was eventually narrowed down to 6 people. In the same class, Japan’s bikini fitness queen Yuri Yasui won the championship and also won the overall championship. Last year, she lost to Maiko Tagami, who won the under 163cm class, and missed out on winning the title. Until now, Yasui has been impressive with her unusual pink evening dress that fascinates the audience.
Yasui, who has won the top of the fit model, continues to win 6 consecutive victories in the main bikini fitness category and 2 consecutive victories in overalls. They are scheduled to stand on the stage aiming for further consecutive victories at the “All Japan Championship” to be held on September 18th (Sunday) and 19th (Monday / holiday).
