The first ministerial draft in a purely female form continues to cause discussions within the turquoise-green federal government. Constitutional Minister Karoline Edtstadler (ÖVP) recently went out to ask the Green Justice Minister Alma Zadić to change the wording of the law. The Turks want both sexes to appear in it – as the constitutional service in the chancellery had warned in a statement. In any case, Edtstadler does not consider a law in purely female form to be a contribution that promotes gender equality or the visibility of women.
