2. League clashes between Zagłębie and “GieKSą” have always had their own drama and color, and let’s hope that this will not change. The statistics are close to a draw. Zagłębie won 15 times, their opponents 15. We also recorded 11 draws. Only the goals clearly favor the Katowice team (45:40).

3. It could have been so beautiful! On August 22, 2021, a dramatic match was played between the Sosnowiec team and “GieKSą”. We were leading 2-0 until the break, dominating at Bukowa. But after the break, a real football earthquake occurred and the rivals scored 3 goals, ultimately winning 3:2. This match will be a dream for our fans and players for a long time. Let us remind you that 2 days later, after this painful defeat, Marcin Jaroszewski resigned as the president of Zagłębie. In total, he served for 98 months and 11 days. That is, he was the club’s longest-serving president in Zagłębie.
