Zainab Al-Askari resolves the controversy over being a second wife and clarifies her position on polygamy

Al-Marsad newspaper: The artist, Zainab Al-Askari, said that she absolutely refuses to be the second wife in someone’s life, or for her husband to marry her.

In a discussion with her audience via the “Tik Tok” application, she indicated that a woman likes to have her man alone and not be shared by another woman.

She explained that there are considerations set by religion and permitted by the fatwa, but she talks about a personal position rejecting polygamy.

She stressed that if she knew that there was a groom asking for her hand, but he was married, she would refuse immediately.

She became angry with some people who claimed that she was a second wife to the father of her daughters, saying: “I do not accept the ruin of homes.”
