Farouk Jaafar, the former player of Zamalek and the national team, recalled his memories of the month of Ramadan, whether in his childhood or his professionalism in football and the situations he faced and did not forget.
This was during an interview with the journalist Medhat Shalaby on the “Ya Nhar Abyad” program on Radio 9090.
Farouk Jaafar recounted a position he had gathered with Sheikh Muhammad Metwally Al-Shaarawy, who was Minister of Endowments at the time, and said: We had a match for the national team in Senegal and I asked the players for breakfast because the travel journey was long hours and I saw fatigue on their faces, but the players refused, so I took a stand against them.
And he continued: We played the match and drew, and after our return, it seems that someone told Sheikh Al Shaarawy what happened, and I had a good relationship with him and his son Ahmed, so he called me and asked to meet me, adding: “He said two words in my body that are very difficult, he said who are you to say that and you don’t want that again? Berbine and I was happy, and this is a lesson I learned from it and I will not do it again.
It is worth mentioning that Farouk Fouad Jaafar, or as he is known as Farouk Jaafar, was born in the village of Thomas and Afia in the Nasr Al Nuba Center in Aswan Governorate in Egypt in 1952 AD and obtained a BA in Physical Education.
