(AFP, Madrid, 10th) As the Israeli-Palestinian conflict enters its fourth day, Spanish clothing giant Inditex, which owns the brand ZARA, announced today that 84 stores in Israel will “suspend” operations until further notice.

Inditex not only announced the suspension of operations on its Israeli website, but also confirmed it to AFP, saying: “(Product) return and exchange time will be extended to 20 days following reopening.”

Inditex, which owns seven major brands including high-end brand Massimo Dutt and youth brand Stradivarius, was hit hard when it was forced to close 514 stores in Russia due to the Russia-Ukraine war. Russia was Inditex’s second largest market, following Spain.

According to an AFP reporter, the Israeli website of Mango, another Spanish clothing brand, has been suspended. The garment group might not immediately be reached for comment.
