Zion Williamson (New Orleans) and Nicolas Batum (LA Clippers) have signed their contract extensions

As announced by the US media last week, Zion Williamson (22), the star of the New Orleans Pelicans, officially extended his contract for five more years on Thursday with the Louisiana franchise. The amount was not disclosed but it would be between 193 and 231 million dollars.

We know, however, that the contract does not include options. So, unless traded, Williamson will be on the New Orleans team for five years. Major of the 2020 draft, the former Duke star played two seasons in the NBA, averaging 25.7 points per game. He was voted All Star Game in 2021.

Two years and 22 million for Batum?

But last season, Zion Williamson did not play a single minute because of a broken right foot. He returned to training at the end of May and is ready for Pelicans training camp ahead of the start of the next NBA season.

Nicolas Batum (33), the French winger of the Los Angeles Clippers, also signed his contract extension with the Californian club on Thursday. According to Yahoo Sports, it is for two years and $22 million. Last season, Batum averaged 8.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
