The defendants Gustavo Saavedra, Ariel Abellonio, Susana Luján and Marcelo Valdez requested an initial abbreviated trial, Villa María Vivo published this Monday.

The defendants confessed to having been part of an illegal association to defraud other people and assumed their responsibilities within the organization’s scheme.

Saavedra is the only one of the four defendants who confessed that he remains in prison. Meanwhile, Abellonio, Luján and Valdez are free. These are three Villamarienses who worked at Zoe de Villa María’s premises.

The confession and the request for an abbreviated trial would imply that the prosecutor Juliana Companys analyzes each situation and requires the elevation. The prosecution will evaluate the contribution of elements to the investigation and as compensation, they might have the minimum of the penalty.
