Zoltán Horkai, who became known as the Wolfman, shot two deer in Gödöllő

The two deer of the world-famous animal rescuer Zoltánek Horkai, also known as the Wolf Man because of the Discovery Channel TV series made about him, were shot in Gödöllő – 444 writes.

Horkai has been a well-known bender in the international film world for decades, his wolves, bears and deer have appeared in quite a few Hollywood and other productions. His reindeer – Goliath and Picur – were featured in Ildikó Enyedi’s world-famous film, Body and Soul, which won the Berlin Golden Bear and was nominated for an Oscar.

For now, all that is known is that unknown persons entered the Horkais’ plot in Gödöllő and shot two tame stags. They also took the carcass of one of the deer with them, while the other one, Ödön, was left behind. According to his owners, it was because he suffered a lot and tried to hide from his killers. According to information from 444, a report was filed in the case, and the Horkais were also offered a reward for leading the trail.

Update at 12:15 p.m.: The Gödöllő Police Department ordered an investigation against an unknown suspect on suspicion of theft and animal cruelty, the Pest County Police Department wrote to Telex.
