[국제]Quarantine pass, overseas cases? … Most of Europe operated, not applied to large marts

[앵커]

Our court has decided to partially suspend the effect of the Corona 19 quarantine pass introduced by the government.

How are major foreign countries such as Europe and the United States operating the quarantine pass?

Reporter Jun-seok Ho reports.

The hottest place in the recent quarantine pass debate is France, where 8% of the population, or 5 million people, have not yet been vaccinated.

The bill has passed the House of Representatives and is being considered by the Senate amid threats to kill Senator Chan.

Those over 12 years of age must get the vaccine to be able to use restaurants, cafes, public transportation, and medical institutions.

Many European countries, such as the UK, Germany and Belgium, are already applying quarantine passes to indoor facilities.

In Italy, public transport is also included.

In the UK, the same as Korea, 18 years old, Germany and Italy are 12 years old or older.

The United States varies from state to state, but New York City, where the number of infections is high, requires a quarantine pass for indoor facilities.

However, unlike Korea, most countries do not apply the quarantine pass to large marts and department stores, which are considered essential facilities for life.

In France alone, it is applied to large department stores larger than 20,000 square meters.

Also, in Korea, in the case of single meals, it is possible to enter a restaurant without a quarantine pass, but there are few cases like this in other countries.
