Russia is relentlessly wielding the ‘blade of energy weaponization’.
We notified the cessation of gas supply just 7 hours before the completion of the maintenance of the ‘Nord Stream’, a gas pipeline leading to Germany, and the resumption of gas supply.

The Nordstream-1 pipeline supplies about a quarter of the natural gas demand in Europe, including Germany.
It connects from the Russian port of Vyborg to Greifswald in Germany via the Baltic Sea.
Gazprom, a Russian state-owned gas company, has been shutting down the operation of this pipe for the past three days due to regular inspections.
However, it was announced abruptly that it would stop supplying just 7 hours before the completion of maintenance and the resumption of gas supply.
The reason is that “a gas leak was found during inspection”.
“We have sent a letter to the repair contractor, Siemens Energy of Germany,” he added, adding that “the gas supply will be shut down indefinitely until the problem is resolved.”
Earlier, some foreign media reported that Gazprom would resume gas supply after maintenance as scheduled, but this expectation was overturned.
Since mid-June, Russia has continued to reduce Nordstream 1 supply, citing reasons such as delays in returning repaired turbines, to 20% of its current capacity.

The European Union, including Germany, hastened to stockpile gas as Russia’s intensity of energy weaponization intensified.
Germany has met 84% of this year’s target and 80% of the EU as a whole, so there is no big problem right now.
However, the Associated Press reported that Russia is concerned about the possibility of an energy crisis this winter, as it could further intensify the energy war, such as cutting off all gas supplies to Europe.
