“The temperature is expected to be in late May as there are not many clouds and the high temperature continues over the weekend,” said Woo.
From Monday the 25th, it will start to rain in the southwestern Jeolla region and will spread to the whole country. This rain is expected to gradually stop starting from Tuesday, the 26th, in the west.
The expected precipitation for the 25th and 26th is 30 to 80 mm in Jeju Island and the southern regions. Areas affected by the topography may receive more than 100 mm of rain. During the same period, the amount of precipitation in the central region is 5-40 mm.
“This rain is accompanied by strong winds, so we should pay attention to damage to facilities and safety at sea, but if the intensity of the low pressure changes, there is a possibility that the amount of precipitation and the area will change,” added Woo.
After the rain stops, there will be a sudden drop in temperature. When the temperature rises significantly over the weekend, it is expected that the lower atmospheric temperature will drop sharply as the cyclone escapes and the temperature will drop.
