Actor Kim Sae-ron, who complained of financial difficulties in court after causing a drunken driving accident, was falsely accused of publicizing a picture of him working part-time.
On the 11th, Kim Sae-ron, who was fined 20 million won by the prosecution, posted a picture of her working in a famous franchise coffee shop uniform on her social media account.
The company said that Sae-ron Kim had never officially worked at the store, and that a store owner remembered that Kim’s friend had worked at a store last year.
Although Mr. Kim did not explain that the photo was a part-time job, there is a suspicion that he posted a false certification shot to prove the hardships he appealed in court.
Kim Sae-ron has been accused of leaving the scene after crashing into a substation and a roadside tree while driving in a drunken state in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul in May of last year.
Prosecutors demanded a fine of 20 million won on the 8th, saying that the crime was not good because Mr. Kim caused a drunk driving accident with a blood alcohol level of 0.2% or higher and then fled without taking any action.
Kim’s lawyer appealed for leniency, saying that Sae-ron Kim is experiencing financial difficulties due to the huge amount of damages and that her family is also suffering from hardships.
